Global Schools Project

The Global Schools Project, which just completed its 16th year, brings together Transition Year Students from Waterford and Wexford to participate in training sessions designed to .  The 2018-2019 programme focused on The Sustainable Development Goals and the Rainforests and included students from the Abbey Community College, De La Salle College, Newtown School, Our Lady of Mercy Secondary, Mount Sion CBS Secondary, Presentation Secondary, St. Angela's Ursuline Secondary, CBS Enniscorthy, St. Paul's Community College and Ard Scoil Na Mara. After completing their training, students design their own workshop and 'tour' local primary schools sharing their learning with the younger pupils.  This year, the TYs delivered their workshop to over 800 primary pupils.  This project is supported by Irish Aid's WorldWise Global Schools and Concern.
